Steven Todd Hawk

Troop 93 assistant Scoutmaster

Steven Todd “Butch” Hawk, 67, of North Catasauqua, died July 8, 2024, at home. He was the husband of Sharon (Vlaskovich) Hawk for 29 years.

Born in Lewistown, he was the son of Raymond A. Jr. and Mary (Nale) Hawk of Whitehall.

He was a four-letter winner in high school in football and wrestling.

He graduated from Slippery Rock State College in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science.

He was employed as a draftsman at Monarch Precast Concrete Corporation, Allentown, for 24 years, retiring in 2023.

He was very active in Boy Scouts of America. In his earlier years, he earned his Eagle Scout and was assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 93, Northampton.

He was a custom knife maker, skilled in metal crafting and woodworking and was a certified NAUI-instructed scuba diver.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two brothers, James B. of New Tripoli and Brian D. of Whitehall; nieces; and nephews.

There will be a calling time 10:30-11 a.m., followed by a service of remembrance 11 a.m., July 20 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
