Shirley E. Polster, 88, of Allentown, died July 5, 2024, in Country Meadows. She was the wife of the late Neil W. Polster. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Louis K. and Dorothy E. (Wertz) Apffel.

She worked for General Electric for 15 years, retiring in 1986.

She was a member and recording secretary of the Emmaus Historical Society, Mercantile Club of Emmaus and was an active card club member, playing bridge and canasta.

She is survived by daughters, Vicki, wife of Chuck Cech, of Auburn, Calif., Terri, wife of Fran Conlin, of Allentown; son-in-law, Jeff Hill, of Allentown; daughter-in-law, Denise, of Livonia, Mich.; grandchildren, Mark Martucci, Brett Martucci and his wife, Cheryl, Daniel; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Imogen, Evan and McGwire. She was predeceased by a son, John; daughter, Judy Hill; granddaughter, Sienna.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. July 26 in the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.
