Roland F. Kratzer Jr., 89, formerly of Northampton, died July 8, 2024, at Forrest Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Weatherly. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Susan (Kovalchick) Kratzer.

Born in Petersville, he was a son of the late Helen (Zader) and Roland F. Kratzer Sr.

He graduated from Northampton High School in 1952.

He served in the U.S. Army reserves from 1957 to 1963.

He was employed as a first-class repairman for Coplay Cement for 27 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Northampton.

He spent time at several local rod and gun clubs.

He is survived by a son, John; two brothers, Mahlon and Paul and wife Diane; two sisters, Betty Watson and Marie Moyer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Edward.
