Arlend Joseph Faurl Jr.

Arlend Joseph “Skeeter” Faurl Jr., 86, of Macungie, died July 7, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He and his wife, Susan J. (Schuler) Faurl, celebrated 34 years of marriage June 9. His first wife, Phyllis (Kuhns) Faurl, died in 1989. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arlend J. Sr. and June E. (Dannecker) Faurl.

He was a graduate of Allentown High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was a founding and longtime member of the Lehigh German Shepherd Club, where he also trained owners and dogs for 12 years.

He was an avid car enthusiast, collecting and owning many vintage cars over the years.

He retired in 1989 as a department chief from AT&T, formerly known as Western Electric, after many years of employment.

He was a member of the Mercantile Club in Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; children, Robin L. Meadows and her husband, Brad, Randall S. and his wife, Jessica, Kimberly A. Erceg, Krista M. Spradlin and her husband, Aaron; grandchildren, Joshua, Aiden, Cole, Shawn, Charliz, Shane, Ryan, Julian; sister, Pamela Haire. He was predeceased by a son, Brian in 1987; siblings, Linda, Gretchen, Larry.
