The Emmaus High School boys basketball team is fresh off a successful tournament this summer, advancing to the championship while going 2-2 at the Bash at the Beach tournament two weekends ago.

The Hornets followed that up by splitting a pair of games last week in the Lehigh Valley Summer League and have now won two of their last three games overall in the Large School Division.

First, last Tuesday night, Emmaus got the better of Notre Dame Green Pond out of the Colonial League 69-63 at Whitehall High School behind a team and game-high 19 points by Jack Csensits. But, two nights later, the Hornets were bested by first-place Wilson West Lawn 62-48, also at Whitehall High School.

Emmaus is now 2-7 overall in the league standings. The Hornets have just one game this week due to the Fourth of July holiday on Thursday. They faced off with fellow Eastern Pennsylvania Conference opponent Dieruff this past Tuesday night at Whitehall. Their next game is next Tuesday, July 9, against Northampton.
