Lehigh County Office and Aging and Adult Services recently presented a program recognizing senior citizens for their contributions to the quality of life in the county.
The program took place in the Zentz Center at Fellowship Community, Whitehall.
This year, 19 older adults were awarded the title of Unsung Heroes of the Lehigh Valley.
LuAnn Epstein’s commitment to the Friends of the Parkland Library Book Shop helped her earn the title Unsung Hero at the tribute.
These recipients were chosen by friends, families and recipients for their talents during the past year.
The program was coordinated by Jessica Yaich, program analyst, Aging and Adult Services for Lehigh County.
Lehigh County Executive Phil Armstrong, JR Reed, Office of Aging and Adult Services, and Artur DiLoreto, former deputy director, Pa. Association of Area Agencies on Aging were the presenters at the Unsung Heroes Awards 2024.
