First Lady Jill Biden visits LCCC, Allentown campus

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden joined Congresswoman Susan Wild, D-7th, on July 2 at Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Allentown campus.
The event was part of the Biden administration’s Congressional Hispanic Caucus on the Road to provide pathways to better education and good-paying jobs for the Hispanic community.
Jill Biden and Wild were joined by Congresswoman Nanette Barragán, D-44th, California; and Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chairwoman, Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez, D-7th, New York; and Congressional Hispanic Caucus member Dr. Ann Bieber, president of LCCC; Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk; and Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong.
Wild, Barragán and Velázquez held a listening session with local members of the Hispanic community, following the speaking program by Biden.
The listening session included: Bieber, Victoria Montero, network director for the Community Workforce Development, Department of Community Health, St. Luke’s University Health Network; Emergency Room Nurse Heide Rosado from St. Luke’s University Health Network, and Tuerk.
