Clara Geiger celebrates 100th birthday

Heather Glen Senior Living resident Clara Geiger celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends on June 8 in the Blue Barn Tavern at the senior living facility, Upper Macungie Township.

A native of Lowhill Township, Clara was one of seven siblings.

She started C&H Gown Company, Allentown, in 1954, and retired in 1994.

She served with the Lehigh Valley Active Bowlers for 20 years then joined the Clubhouse 55 League at Allentown’s Rose Bowl.

According to her daughter-in-law Marge Geiger, Clara was both an outstanding seamstress and cook and active member of Morgenland Union Church, Lowhill Township.

Celebrating with Clara were six of great-grandchildren and four grandchildren.

Clara Geiger celebrated her 100th birthday in the Blue Barn Tavern at Heather Glen Senior Living on June 8. She was joined by her great-grandchildren James Geiger of Easton, Braden and Gavin Geiger, both of Topton, Lindsay Geiger of Easton, Ellis Graff, Atlanta, Ga., and Micky Flick of Dallas, Texas.
Clara Geiger is joined by her grandchildren Jennifer Geiger of Marietta, Ga., Phillip Geiger of Topton, Christine Geiger of Alpharetta, Ga., and Matthew Geiger of Easton.
