Whitehall Township Public Library: Library to host drum demo

Teen night will be held 4:30 p.m. July 12. Teens in grades 6-12 can hang out with their friends. Join in for food and games.

Find the monster in town in a fast-paced role-playing game. This month, we’ll have different game sessions for different age groups.

Ultimate Vampire for grades 5-8 will be held July 16. Ultimate Werewolf for grades 9-12 is set for July 23. Ultimate Werewolf for ages 18 and older will be July 30.

All programs will begin 6 p.m., and registration is required.

Join us for snacks as we discuss death. A death cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. This group will meet 6:30 p.m. July 15. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.

No registration is required.

Kids in grades 3-6 can enjoy an evening of STEM activities at Creation Station, scheduled for 6 p.m. July 17. This month, kids will learn about molecules by doing experiments with bubbles.

Camp Knots-A-Lot is set for 1:30 p.m. July 18. Kids can learn about different kinds of knots and play some games to help practice what they’ve learned. The program is for youth in grades 3-8.

Books and Bites will be held 6 p.m. July 22 for youth in grades 5-8.

Join us to discuss “Refugee” by Alan Gratz. Books are available at the circulation desk.

Kids can explore outside the library with the Adventure Begins at Your Library scavenger hunt, set for 1:30 p.m. July 23. This program is for youth in grades 1-5.

In case of rain, this event will be held inside the library.

Space is limited, so registration is required.

The Philadelphia: A Revolutionary City program is set for 6 p.m. July 25. Eighteenth-century Philadelphia was a complex place where global trade brought new goods and new ideas to the people who became revolutionaries.

Follow one artifact — a punch bowl — on a virtual tour of the city, and find yourself in market stalls, coffeehouses, illegal taverns, churches and the halls of government.

Presented by the Museum of the American Revolution, this program is held on Zoom. Watch from a screen in the library or from home.

Registration is requested.

Kids and Teens Connect will be held 11 a.m. July 27. The Teen Advisory Board will lead kids through different activities including sidewalk chalk, pool noodle racing, a hula challenge and more. This program is recommended for kids in pre-K through sixth grade.

Light snacks will be provided.

Kids can celebrate summer with tropical activities, such as edible leis, surfboard hats and more, 11 a.m. Tuesdays in July. This program is for kids in grades 1-5.

Family storytime for ages 37 months to second grade is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays in July. Toddler storytime is set for 11 a.m. Thursdays in July for ages 12-36 months.

The summer reading program is underway. Register for the incentive program to read all summer long and earn great prizes for all ages.

Plant-a-Row donation drop-off continues 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays. The library will accept fresh produce to go to local families in need.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays through Saturdays.
