Joan M. Yasenchok, 84, of North Whitehall, died July 2, 2024. She was the wife of David Yasenchok for 61 years.
Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bacak) Kulanko.
She was a 1957 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School.
She began a teaching career at St. Anne’s Elementary. When her eldest child left for college, she re-entered the workforce as a front office secretary at Parkland High School for more than 20 years.
She was an active parishioner at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and participated in the RCIA program.
She was a proud sorority member of Beta Sigma Phi for more than 65 years. She was a member of Lehigh Valley Couturiere Society.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Jack and wife Carol Kulanko; three daughters, Denise Shost, Debra Culter with Brandon and Donna; and four grandchildren, Jessica Shost, Michael Shost and fiancee Jane Hinkle, Carsen Culter and Jackson Culter.
