Cunningham honored as scholar-athlete

Moravian University senior pitcher Madi Cunningham (Whitehall HS) has been honored as the 2024 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete for Softball.

The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletic directors, senior woman administrators and sports information directors. Chosen at the conclusion of each sport season, the six winter honorees are being announced this week.

“Congratulations to Madi on being named Landmark Softball Senior Scholar-Athlete,” stated Head Coach Josh Baltz. “Madi is a great competitor on the softball field and especially inside the circle. She has that same competitive nature with her academics. To graduate in three years and accomplish everything she has on the field and off is very impressive.”
