DeSales University, in Center Valley, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university under the leadership of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales.
Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus has a total enrollment of nearly 3,500 including undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 135 full-time faculty members and offers more than 40 bachelor’s degrees, 12 graduate programs and more than 20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines. Many of these can be completed fully online.

Klinger graduates
Jacob Klinger, a graduate of Whitehall High School Class of 2020, graduated with honors from Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering design technology. He is working for Victraulic as a mechanical design engineer.

Delaware Valley University is a private, comprehensive, nonprofit university educating students with a curriculum that emphasizes and requires experiential learning. Students named to dean’s list
Albright College announces the students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, Albright students must earn a grade-point average of 3.75 or better while taking a minimum of three letter-graded courses during a semester.

Touro University
Scarfaro earns juris doctorate
Madison Scarfaro, a Whitehall High School Class of 2014 graduate, graduated summa cum laude, salutatorian and Pro Bono Scholar with her juris doctorate from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center May 23 in New York.
Scarfaro was chosen as Law Student of the Year by the “National Jurist” publication. She dedicated much of her time in law school to advancing women’s rights by volunteering with the nonprofit New Hour. Visiting the Nassau County Correctional Facility every Monday to meet women in a drug and alcohol treatment program, she created Know Your Rights training on a variety of topics and led classes in the facility.
She was the first student liaison to the Suffolk County Women in the Courts Committee, president of the Touro’s Women’s Bar Association, vice president of the Touro Law Center Sports and Entertainment Law Society, on the Touro Law Review and vice president of the Public Interest Law Organization. She completed both externships and internships with the Sports Legal Department at Roc Nation, NYC, the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Warner Music, NYC, and this past spring, she worked with the Federal Defenders of New York. She also participated in Breaking Barriers, a student-run project of Touro’s Public Advocacy Center that assists persons with criminal convictions to overcome barriers to employment and educational licenses.
She is currently planning, alongside nonprofit organizations, the first Long Island Human Trafficking Awareness Week. Scarfaro passed her bar exam in February and will work as an associate at the firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., on Long Island.
