Northampton County’s Area Agency on Aging Department and County Executive Lamont G. McClure announced that Farmers Market vouchers good June 1 through November 30, 2024, are available. Vouchers are for Pennsylvania-grown produce available at specific farmer’s markets.
The five 50 dollars vouchers are for NorCo residents age sixty and over who meet the income eligibility criteria (example: $27,861/yr. for a single person in 2024 and $37,814 for a couple); both spouses may obtain vouchers).Vouchers are distributed by NorCor Area Agency on Aging.
Persons wishing to receive coupons must present proof of age and residence. Program policies allow one to obtain coupons for another person only if they have a completed and signed proxy form. Additionally, a person may only serve as a proxy for up to four other participants, and identification with date of birth and address of the older adult must be shown when presenting a proxy.
This form will be available for pick-up at the AAA office (2801 Emrick Boulevard, Bethlehem), at all County Senior Centers, and will also be available on the AAA’s website, www.norcopa.gov/area-agency-on-aging. Seniors may only receive vouchers once during the program. Eligibility does not include seniors who live in nursing homes, convents, or residential facilities where meals are provided. Proof of age and residence must be presented.
