TOWN HALL EXHIBIT: Artist Tim Higgins will be exhibiting his digital collage works, “Please Stand By,” at the Bethlehem City Hall Rotunda Gallery to Aug. 13. There will be an opening reception Sunday, July 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. The Rotunda Gallery is located at 10 E. Church St. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The exhibition is composed of hundreds of collaged images and elements depicting themes from comics, pulp fiction, television, film and everyday life. High Art meets Low Art as Higgins creates new works from material either originally sourced or appropriated from a variety of sources and media. The works are either printed on paper and framed or mounted on glass.

Tim Higgins is a multidisciplinary artist who has worked in graphics, painting and short film. He grew up in Allentown, attended Salisbury High School, and studied commercial art at Northampton County Community College and fine arts with a concentration in painting at Kutztown University. Higgins has also been a newspaper editor and reporter in the Lehigh Valley, as well as a freelance arts writer.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission (www.bfac-lv.org).
