Parkland School Board directors have announced the appointment of Casey Troutman as director of food services for the school district.
Casey currently serves as supervisor of elementary food Services and will replace Lori Seier, who has served as director since 2015.
Seier will retire this fall.
Casey earned two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in management; the other in nutritional sciences from Penn State University.
As supervisor of elementary food services, Casey has worked closely with the director of food services and has done an outstanding job, the news release states.
“We knew when Casey assumed the supervisor role in food services that she had the potential to grow and assume greater leadership responsibilities in the organization,” Superintendent Dr. Mark Madson said. “Now that the time has come for that opportunity, she is ideally situated and prepared to take on this leadership position.
“We have also had the chance to witness Casey’s performance firsthand.
“She is exceptionally hardworking and respected for her calm, problem-solving nature.
“She possesses a positive attitude, is a team player, and is a strong leader and we wish her the best in her new position.”
