Whitehall High School Class of 1972 is holding a raffle fundraiser for four tickets for an Aug. 15 Philadelphia Phillies baseball game against the Washington Nationals.
The game starts 6:40 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The drawing for the tickets is scheduled for 8 p.m. July 15.
Each chance costs $10.
Proceeds from the raffle go toward the Jan Henrick Achievement Award. Henrick was a member of the Class of 1972. She moved to Florida and had a career as a teacher, counselor and coach. She died in 2004 from cancer. Before dying, Henrick set up the foundation for her legacy achievement award, given to students who have turned their lives around in some way, such as better grades or attendance, a better overall positive attitude, etc.
Henrick’s brother and fellow Whitehall alumni, Rick, donated the tickets for the raffle.
The seats are in section 103, row 13. The face value of the tickets are $60 each, for a total of $240.
All entrants will receive a Zoom link to watch the drawing.
