Tides get past Whitehall Waves
The Whitehall Waves summer swim team competed against a comparable opponent on June 27 when they traveled to the home pool of the Bethlehem Tides, a new swim team in the Suburban Swim League of the Lehigh Valley.
The Tides squeaked by the Waves, 319-243, but Waves coach Grace Urick was excited for the challenge and pleased with the effort.
“This is one of the teams we are closer to in numbers,” Coach Urick said. “A lot of my kids definitely cut times tonight in races and did really good. I was really proud. One of our boys, Evan Urick, swam his first 100 freestyle. Jayce Bower did really good in the crescendo. The other team did out touch us, but he did so good.”
