Liberty’s Adam Mittl has enjoyed a stellar senior season on the volleyball court already being named the East Penn Conference MVP, but he added an even bigger award last week.

Mittl was selected as one of 10 members of the American Volleyball Coaches Association first-team All-Americans. The 6-foot-5 outside hitter was one of two Pennsylvania natives to make the first-team list along with Exeter’s Gaige Gabriel.

This year’s group featured 10 first-team nominees, 10 second-team and six honorable mention.

The 26 student-athletes featured represent 23 high schools from 11 states.
