The George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets, will be holding Independence Day activities 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 4.
There will be living history re-enactors, musical performances, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and house tours. There is a small fee for the tours, but children ages 12 and under are free.

The free summer concert series continues. Brake for Turtles performs 7-10 p.m. July 5 at the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St.
Get out your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun night.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is holding a Christmas in July half-price sale July 8-31. All Christmas items, as well as red, green and white clothing, will be half price.
Regular thrift shop hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The shop accepts donations of good, used, clean clothing, household items and toys during regular hours.
