Salisbury Township School District is excited to announce the appointment of Sarah Oswald as the new director of student activities. Oswald brings a wealth of experience and a passion for student engagement to this pivotal role within the district.

In this role, Oswald will oversee the planning, implementation and management of a wide range of student activities, ensuring all students have access to enriching extracurricular opportunities to enhance their educational experience. She will work closely with students, parents, faculty and community members to foster a vibrant and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

Oswald joins Salisbury Township School District with an impressive background in student activities and education. She served as a health and physical education teacher for the past 10 years at Eyer Middle School in the East Penn School District.

The addition of Ms. Oswald to our team underscores our dedication to enhancing student experiences both inside and outside the classroom. We are confident her leadership will greatly benefit our students and the entire school community.”

Oswald received her bachelor’s degree from West Chester University in 2011 and a master’s in athletic administration in 2020.

In addition to her work as a middle school teacher, she served as the head coach of the Emmaus girls soccer program for nine seasons. She previously was the assistant coach for three years. In her time as the head coach, her program went 130-61-12. They have reached the District XI playoffs all nine seasons and contended for league and district titles throughout her career.

In 2023, Oswald was awarded Coach of the Year in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference. She also served as the middle school basketball coach at Eyer Middle School for three seasons after her 10 years of coaching girls basketball at Parkland High School.

Oswald expressed enthusiasm about joining the district, stating, “I am excited to join the exceptional team at Salisbury Township School District and embark on this new chapter. I am deeply committed to the success and well-being of every student and I look forward to collaborating with educators, administrators, families and community members to ensure every child receives a high-quality educational experience.”

Salisbury High School Principal Heather Morningstar said, “I am excited to welcome Ms. Oswald to the Salisbury community. Sarah’s extensive experience in student activities and athletics will be a tremendous asset to our school and district. I look forward to working with her to further enrich the lives of our students and I eagerly anticipate the positive impact she will have on our school community.”

There was an extensive pool of candidates indicating how desirable of a place Salisbury Township School District is. Sarah stood out due to her knowledge base and vision for the future.
