Bethlehem Catholic has a new athletic director in charge with the appointment of Stephen Tomaszewski taking over the reigns officially on July 1.
Tomaszewski assisted former athletic director Chris Domyan the past three years while being a social studies teacher at the school and now looks forward to a new opportunity as Domyan moves to Arizona with his family.
“Beyond excited to take on an expanded role within the administration team and the director of the athletic department,” said Tomaszewski. “It presents me an opportunity to be at forefront of the most rewarding aspects of educational athletics, seeing student-athletes compete and see their dreams come true. We have fantastic coaches as role models for young people. I am also excited to work more closely with our EPC league partners to better foster the experiences for student-athletes in the Lehigh Valley.”
Tomaszewski was an assistant coach on the baseball team from 2010-16 under Mike Grasso and then coached on Moravian University’s staff until 2022.
Domyan spent a decade as AD with Bethlehem Catholic, but working under him the past three years has given Tomaszewski the tutelage needed to be the new frontman of the Golden Hawks athletic department.
“I have always had a background in athletics so it is as a natural fit as possible,” he said. “When the opportunity arose it was an easy yes. I strive to serve the best of my abilities our students and coaches.”
