State police investigate, car motorcycle crash on Route 22

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred June 24, on Route 22, South Whitehall.

According to police, Troopers were dispatched at 12:44 a.m., to Route 22 West, Mile Marker 319.6, for a crash involving a motorcycle and sedan.

Police determined a white 2020, Toyota Camry and a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle had crashed causing the 28-year-old operator of the motorcycle to be transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for serious injuries.

The driver and the three passengers in the Camry were not injured, police say.

All traffic during this investigation was detoured onto 15th Street.

All lanes westbound reopened at 4:52 a.m. the same day.

This crash is being investigated by the PSP Bethlehem Patrol Unit.

Troop M Collision Analysis Reconstruction Unit, Troop M Forensic Services Unit, Cetronia Ambulance and Stews Towing assisted with this crash.
