Whitehall Township Public Library: Therapy dogs visiting Whitehall library June 27

A Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs presentation is set for 1 p.m. June 27. Visitors of all ages can learn about and meet therapy dogs.

No registration is required.

Join Martha Capwell Fox 6:30-7:30 p.m. June 27 as she presents Whitehall Snapshot Stories. She will talk about Whitehall through photographs and tell us stories about how she found the photos for her book.

Registration is requested.

Kids can celebrate summer with tropical activities, such as edible leis, surfboard hats and more, 11 a.m. every Tuesday in July. This program is for kids in grades 1-5.

Registration is required.

Kids Binglow is set for 6 p.m. July 3. Enjoy the bingo you know and love with glow-in-the-dark ambience. All kids are welcome.

The Succulent Savvy program, presented by Master Gardener Susan Wilson, will be 6 p.m. July 9. Topics will include popular varieties of succulents, light and soil requirements and avoiding common problems and pests.

Super Science and Amazing Art will be held 6 p.m. July 10. Kids can join us for this fun, hands-on science show.

Kids from toddlers to second grade can come take part in the Oodles of Floor puzzles program and play with the library’s collection of puzzles.

David Gettes, of Trinidad North Steel Drum Band, will be performing 6 p.m. July 11. He will also provide hands-on demonstrations. All are welcome.

Teen night is set for 4:30 p.m. July 12. Teens in grades 6-12 can hang out with their friends after hours at the library. Join in for food and games.

Family storytime for ages 37 months to second grade is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays in July. Toddler storytime is set for 11 a.m. Thursdays in July for ages 12-36 months.

The summer reading program is underway. Register for the incentive program to read all summer long and earn great prizes for all ages.

Plant-a-Row donation drop-off continues 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays. The library will accept fresh produce to go to local families in need.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

Teens interested in volunteering can join the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are 1:30 p.m. one Saturday a month. Check our calendar for dates.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
