Firearms

DUI crash

A 64-year-old female, of Zionsville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a two-vehicle crash in the area of Saint Peters Road and Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, 2:39 p.m. May 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI

A 33-year-old female, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop in the area of U.S. Route 222 North/North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:43 p.m. April 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 22-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly was driving under the influence in the area of Sauerkraut Lane and Thistle Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:57 a.m. May 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from motor vehicle

A power drill, valued at $219 and concrete screws, valued at $100, were removed from a truck while it was at a location along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 11:07 a.m. May 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Theft

A purse containing cash and a vape pen were removed from a shopping cart at retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 12:56 and 1:30 p.m. June 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A business in the 5900 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, found a check made out to another business was intercepted, altered and cashed for $43,198.69, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 8.

Retail theft

A 20-year-old female, of Maryland, was arrested for retail theft after she allegedly removed groceries valued at $514.07 from retailer Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 8:28 p.m. June 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The female was detained by loss prevention personnel at the store when she attempted to leave without paying for the grocery items.

A male entered Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Suite 101, Lower Macungie Township, 2:49 p.m. June 8 and left with a bag filled with clothing items he did not pay for allegedly taken from within the store, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 54-year-old male was cited for harassment after he allegedly grabbed another person by the neck and shoved the person out of a residence along Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 11 and 11:13 p.m. June 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

A tree and a shed were damaged at a residence along Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, after a “juvenile neighbor” was playing with kindling wood and a gas lighter June 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The kindling caught fire and the fire spread to the shed and tree, according to the authorities. Damage to the shed was valued at $200 and damage to the tree was valued at $100.

Identity theft

A 45-year-old person, of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, was deceived into sharing his personal information with a caller, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident canceled credit cards before contacting police and reported the incident 12:58 p.m. June 7 at the state police station, Schantz Road.

Theft by deception

A resident of Larch Lane, Lower Macungie Township, was swindled out of $8,000 via an electronic currency deposit after receiving a scam email and selecting a fake link disguised as being for Microsoft, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. In the scam the resident spoke to various people posing as tech support team members. This incident was reported June 5.

Check fraud

A resident of Queenscourt Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned his checking information was used to make out a fraudulent check for $15,000, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Someone then attempted to the cash the check by remote deposit but the check was rejected by a financial institution. The incident was reported April 30.

Pennsylvania State Police authorities are investigating fraudulent checks totaling $59,444.72 written between Dec. 26, 2023 and May 21, according to according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The fraud was reported May 24.

Indecent assault

Pennsylvania State Police authorities are investigating an incident between “two juvenile students” on a school bus along Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. May 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
