A. My mother’s name is Lori Held and my father’s name is Bill Held. I have an older sister named Juleeanna Held, along with my two cats named Meowgee and Silvy and my dog, Ivy.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject would be social studies or any classes involving history. I’ve always been fascinated with how the United States started out and all the events that have led up to modern day. I believe it’s important to know history and to have respect for our country so I value the classes that teach that.

A. I played club softball and field hockey. I was a part of the Pediatric Cancer Club and National Honor Society. Also, in my free time I volunteer at Last Chance Ranch, which is an animal shelter in Quakertown. Being a part of these activities made my high school experience so much more fun and full. I was able to meet many people along the way and build friendships that have lasted me throughout these four years. As well, I felt more a part of the community and school, enhancing my school spirit.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. I consider my biggest challenge to be myself. I think sometimes I hold myself back from reaching my full potential and I need to continue to push myself, leading up to these next important four years.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I plan to attend college at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in environmental science.

Q. Whom do you hope to emulate? Why?

A. I hope to emulate my sister, Juleeanna. She has always had her life planned out and knew exactly what she wanted. I’ve looked up to her my whole life and as I got older, I’ve been able to watch her become successful in all aspects of life. She’s been a great role model in my life and what I aspire to be.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I want to be remembered for my kindness and character. I believe your personality is one of the most important qualities to have and I hope to leave that impression. I strive to make a difference in the world for many different reasons and I would like to be remembered for that determination.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice would be to just enjoy your high school years because it really does go by fast. These are some of the most important years of your life, and some of the best memories you’ll ever make. Enjoy it while it lasts!
