York College

Rau, Diaz earn dean’s list

York College of Pennsylvania announced the students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester, including Colby Rau, of Catasauqua and Bryan Diaz, of Whitehall.

Rau, a member of the Class of 2025, is a mechanical engineering major; Diaz, of the Class of 2024, is a finance major.

Established in 1787, York College of Pennsylvania is a private, four-year college located in the city of York, a hub of arts and industry between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Missouri State University

Frace named to dean’s list

Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list. Virginia Frace, of Bath, was among more than 4,800 students named to the spring 2024 dean’s list.

For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Missouri State University is a public, comprehensive university system with a mission in public affairs. The college’s purpose is to develop fully educated persons with a focus on ethical leadership, cultural competence and community engagement.

University of Mississippi

Leibenguth earns honor roll

Mantana Leibenguth, of Coplay, was named to University of Mississippi’s Chancellor’s Honor Roll for spring 2024. Leibenguth is majoring in accountancy. This honor is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.0.

“The remarkable students achieving Chancellor’s Honor Roll are among the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi,” Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. “I commend them for their hard work and dedication resulting in their outstanding academic achievements and this well-deserved recognition.”

To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

University of Rhode Island

Wallitsch named to dean’s list

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce Megan Wallitsch, of Whitehall, has been named to the spring 2024 dean’s list. Students named to the dean’s list represent nearly all of Rhode Island’s cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey and many other states and countries.

To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades, which are GPA applicable, during a semester and achieved at least a 3.3 quality-point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades, which are GPA applicable, earning at least a 3.3 QPA.

Emerson College

Blose earns dean’s list

Taylor Blose, of Catasauqua, earned dean’s list honors from Emerson College for the spring 2024 semester. Blose is majoring in writing, literature and publishing and is a member of the Class of 2027.

The requirement to make dean’s list is a GPA of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Based in Boston, Mass., opposite the historic Boston Common and in the heart of the city’s theatre district, Emerson College educates individuals who will solve problems and change the world through engaged leadership in communication and the arts, a mission informed by liberal learning.

Alvernia University

Dean’s list is announced

More than 750 students were named to Alvernia University’s dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Bath: Abigail Faulkner, majoring in early childhood preK-grade 4; Madalyn Yorke, majoring in occupational therapy

Whitehall: Samantha Chteh, majoring in applied science; Joyce Lu, majoring in athletic training
