Anna J. Barna, 97, of Allentown, died June 9, 2024, at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John Barna for 62 years.

Born in Ormrod, she was the daughter of the late John Torbey and Mary (Gulla) Torbey Czonstka.

She was a sewing machine operator for various garment industries in the Lehigh Valley, retiring after 51 years.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.

She was a member and volunteer of Northern Valley Ambulance Corps of North Whitehall Township.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Barna-Rogers and husband Mark; a granddaughter, Alexis “Lexi” Rogers; two sisters, Jeanette Meckes and Dorothy DeSentis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Mary Ann Martinek, Francis Torbey, John Torbey, Stanley Torbey and Thomas Torbey.
