Zion’s Stone United Church of Christ, 51 Church Road, Kreidersville, will host a free outdoor movie night 8 p.m. June 28. The movie will be “Wish.”

The concession stand will be open. Bring a blanket and/or chair.

Celtic Cultural Alliance has announced several thousand dollars will be awarded in scholarships to students studying a Celtic art such as music, dance, visual arts, literature and history.

The application deadline is July 15. Awards will be presented at Celtic Classic, scheduled for Sept. 29.

Executive Director Jayne Ann Recker said these scholarships support the mission of the CCA to promote and preserve Celtic culture by encouraging students to study a Celtic discipline. The scholarship is not based on an audition or financial need.

The Allen Township summer movie lineup is here. The second movie of the season will be “The Migration” July 19 at Howertown Park, 10 Short Lane.

All movies are family events with free admission. The township is offering free popcorn and water. Bring your lawn chair and/or blanket.

Donations are greatly appreciated, so the township can hold future movie events.
