Chester L. Taylor Jr. co-founded Taylor Family group

Chester “Chet” L. Taylor Jr., 81, of Kirkland Village Retirement Home and of Bethlehem, died on May 16, 2024. Born on Norfolk, Virginia, he was a son of the late Chester Sr. and Frances (Poyner) Taylor. He was the husband of Marsha (Littleton) Taylor for 58 years.

He graduated from high school in Laurel, Delaware, where he lived at that time. He graduated from Valley Forge Junior College and the University of Delaware.

He was in the U.S. Army for two years before transitioning to the reserves for an additional five years.

He worked with Mobil Oil Corp and was a service station dealer in 1972. He co-founded Taylor Family Fuel and Mini Marts alongside his sons.

He was a member of Silver Creek Country Club for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Dwight and Dennis and his wife Sara; four grandchildren, Jessica, Grace, Olivia and Paul; and a sister, Linda McClure and her husband Claude.
