Local teams pick up wins

The local summer hoop teams all got back to their winning ways last week, with all three area teams at least picking up one win, but also all going 1-1.

Catty knocked off Upper Perk 66-37 as Jeremiah Cofie poured in 16 points. The Roughs would fall to Lehighton in a battle of top teams in the Small School Division. The Indians got 30 points from Cole Dietz in a 55-53 win.

The Kids were winners over Dieruff 51-27 as Noah Walakovits scored a game-high 26 points. But the Kids would suffer a loss to Easton 41-26 in a game where Jserie Younger led the way with nine points.

Whitehall would get its win over Notre Dame 53-42 as AJ Hines led the way with 16 points for the Zephs. WHS would drop a game to Wilson West Lawn 68-54 as WWL was paced by Luke LeVan’s 18.
