John M. “Jack” Scheirer Sr., 82, of Hokendauqua, died June 11, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Doris E. (Heimbach) Scheirer for 59 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John Q. and Elizabeth (Kern) Scheirer.

He was a 1959 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force and spent one year in Vietnam.

He was a maintenance welder for Schaeffer Brewery and retired after 30 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by former daughter-in-law, Dianne Kohler; four grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, Michael and Emily; and two great-grandchildren, Kara and Zander.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael.

Per his request, there will be no services.
