James W. Schaffer Jr., 91, of Lehigh Township, died June 13, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Susanne F. (Long) Schaffer.

He was the son of the late Walter James Sr. and Mary (Krenn) Schaffer.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was employed in computer/IT services for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 30 years before retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall.

He belonged to L.V. Trapshooters Association for more than 60 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Marianne S. of Hamilton, N.J.; a sister, Marietta Iacocca of Radcliff, Ky; and three granddaughters, Stevie Ruth, Kiera Susanne and Kelsie Rhiannon.

He was predeceased by a brother, Randy; and a sister, Shirley Mayberry.

Services will be private.
