Engineering is for girls

CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS Six Catasauqua Middle School students attend the CHOICES (Charting Horizons and Opportunities In Careers in Engineering and Science) program at Lehigh University March 22. Attendees got a hands-on experience learning about different STEM fields. The one-day program began in 1993, with the summer camp portion starting in 2004. The goal of the program is to introduce more young women to the engineering and science fields. Reportedly, more than 1,300 girls have taken part in the CHOICES program since its inception.
