Coplay Public Library: Sign up for the summer reading program at Coplay library

Sign up for the 2024 summer library reading program - Adventure Begins at Your Library. Each week will have a different adventure theme.

Registration started June 10. Register at coplaypubliclibrary.beanstack.com and fill out the form. You can register as an individual or a family.

If you have used Beanstack before, just sign in and register for the all ages reading challenge/all ages activity challenge. To track your reading/activities, click on log reading and activities. You can also register at the library.

Families can also join the family passport program. This program encourages families to visit other LCLC libraries. You can win a special passport basket at each library. If you visit six libraries, you will be entered into a grand-prize drawing for an iPad.

For more information about the program, call or come into the library.

Once you start reading, you can collect raffle tickets for reaching reading levels and doing activities. You could be a lucky winner of a gift basket!

The library is collecting food and personal and toiletry items for the Whitehall-Coplay School District Snack Pack Pals program. These items are sent home during long weekends with students who have severe hunger needs to help them have something to eat before they return to school.

Place your donations in the box located in the inside entrance to the library. We will be collecting donations throughout June and July.

For more information, call the library at 610-262-7351.

The crochet class meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. New members of all levels of experience are welcome.

If you would like some ideas for a vacation or day trip, stop in and browse our collection of up-to-date travel brochures. You’ll find information on places to visit in Pennsylvania and several other eastern U.S. states.

If you have any gently read books or working CDs or DVDs and would like to donate them to the library, you do not have to wait until the fall or spring book sales to do so. We accept donations all year.

The library is also looking for large to medium baskets in like-new shape for raffle baskets.

See our donations policy on our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org. For your safety, drop off donations at the circulation desk during open hours.

If you want to know if you have a book that has monetary value before donating it, try starting with bookfinder.com.

***

We always have fiction and nonfiction books, CDs, DVDs and seasonal items for sale in between our fall and spring sales. Prices are the same as the big sales.

Look for the sale shelves and the special book sale cart at the front of the circulation desk.

***

Need to use a computer to search for information or print something? We have six public access computers for you to use. You just need to show your library card at the front desk when you come into the library.

If you do not have a library card, it only takes a few minutes to get one. All you need is a form of ID, like a driver’s license. Library cards are free and may be used at 12 libraries in Lehigh and Carbon counties.

For more information, check our website or call the library at 610-262-7351.

***

If you can’t make it into the library, use the Libby app for thousands of free reading materials. You’ll need your library card number and your PIN.
