Catasauqua: Reservoir Hill to perform in park

The free summer concert series continues. Reservoir Hill performs 7-10 p.m. June 21 at the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St. Get out your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun evening.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., will hold its annual block party 6-10 p.m. June 20 and 21 and again 5-10 p.m. June 22.

Come out and enjoy children’s games, bingo in the air-conditioned parish hall, basket raffles and a bake sale. Your favorite foods will be available as well, such as steak/cheesesteak sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, turkey barbecue, cabbage and noodles, potato pancakes, funnel cake and more.

Feel free to bring your own chair and find a spot in the grass to enjoy some great food, cold beer or soda and music all three nights by D.H. Productions. This event is rain or shine.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., West Catasauqua, will be holding bingo June 23. Doors open noon, and cash bingo starts 1 p.m.

Bingo will continue with tricky tray, 50/25/25 raffle, piggy number, lightning game, etc. There will be refreshments available for purchase. Bring a nonperishable food item for Whitehall Food Pantry.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be hosting Thomas Hart and Ayva as the guest musicians during the 9:30 a.m. June 23 service as part of the 150th anniversary celebration.

Catty Seniors Plus will next meet June 26 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. The doors open noon, and the meeting starts 1 p.m.

Sign up for the July picnic during this meeting. After the business meeting, coffee and dessert will be served, and bingo will be played.

There are no speakers during the summer months. There are also special luncheons three times a year for special holidays.

A monetary donation is collected each month for Catasauqua Area Food Bank, except for two months when the collection is for veterans in a nursing home in Wilkes-Barre or for homeless veterans. Members are asked to bake or bring a baked good when needed.

You don’t have to live in Catasauqua to come to the meetings.
