Carol Marie Wolf Huber

Carol Marie Huber, 93, of Allentown, died peacefully in her home, June 13, 2024. She was the wife of the late 1st Lt. Carl Joseph Huber. Born in Milwaukee, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Roman Paul Wolf and Alma (Wagner) Wolf.

She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1949. She attended Wayland Junior College and transferred to Columbia County Normal School to become a one-room schoolteacher.

She and her husband loved to travel and they went on to live in Stockton, Calif., Danville, Ky. and Allentown. She continued to work as a substitute teacher.

In Allentown, she and her husband were both very active with St. Thomas More Parish, Allentown Central Catholic High School and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.

She was an avid reader and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by children, Daniel and his wife, Cathy, of Combined Locks, Wis., Nancy and her husband Donald Wietmarschen, of Zanesville, Ohio, Stephen and his wife, Kitty, of Rockville, Md., Thomas and his wife, Gail, of Stanford, Ky., Carolyn and her husband, Richard Sautter, of Gettysburg; sister, Charlene and her husband, Neil Sitenga, of Rice Lake, Wis. and Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; sisters-in-law Wilma, wife of the late Walter, of Winter Park, Fla., Mary, wife of the late James Barstow, of Beaver Dam, Wis.; grandchildren, Gretchen Wietmarschen (Jesus Hernandez), Eric Wietmarschen (Emily), John Huber-MacNealy (Courtney), Megan (Joe Krasinskas), Laura (Nick Jackson), Will Sautter, Devon Sautter, Danny Sautter (Ashleigh Jacobs); great-grandchildren, Rory and Felicity MacNealy, Oliver and Dominic Wietmarschen, Maisie Hernandez.

Contributions may be made in her name to St. Thomas More School, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, 18103-5520, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, 2755 Station Ave., Center Valley, 18034 or the library of your choice.

Services are private at the convenience of the family at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newton.
