Warren Hills, Wilson-West Lawn lead divisions early in season
The Emmaus High School boys basketball team recently began offseason competition in the Lehigh Valley Summer League at Cedar Beach two weeks ago, and the Hornets are under new leadership for the first time in 16 seasons.
Emmaus, which finished last season 20-8 overall, runner-up in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference and qualified for the PIAA 6A state tournament, had former head coach Steve Yoder step down and Jerald Brown take over as the new head man.
Emmaus has had a slow start out of the gate this summer, falling in its first five games. But that is what the summer offseason is for, transitioning new varsity players, and in this year, new head coaches, and learning from each other.
Last week, Emmaus lost to Allen 65-39 on Tuesday and then on Thursday, June 6, the Hornets fell to Executive Education Charter School 55-46.
Here’s a look at recent scores and league standings through last week’s games.
