James K. Eckert Jr., 74, of Whitehall, died June 7, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Linda L. (Gensenleiter) Eckert, were married 53 years.
Born Jan. 24, 1950, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late James K. Eckert Sr. and Dorothy (Mengel) Eckert.
He was a purchaser at Victaulic, Alburtis, for 16 years before retiring.
Before that, he worked at the former Stroh’s Brewery, Fogelsville, for 30 years.
In his youth, he was a newspaper carrier for The Morning Call for six years.
He lived a full life where he enjoyed spending time with the family at the beach, watching the Phillies, cooking and planning menus for family gatherings, and weekend shopping excursions.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Jason J. Eckert and his wife, Ashlie, of Hawley; daughter Amie L. Eckert; sister Sally Arbolino of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Paige, Elijah, Kaitlin, Claire, Lainey, Renzo, Raya and Jase; and great-grandchildren Kye and Sadie.
His service will be private. There will be no calling hours.
