Carol L. Hersh, 77, of Allentown, died June 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy M. and Ruth E. (Fisher) Stieff.
A 1965 graduate of Reading High School and a 1969 graduate of Kutztown University, she was a flight attendant for United Airlines for many years with which she had the opportunity to travel the world.
She was also a party planner for UndercoverWear a career she truly enjoyed.
She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1987.
Despite any physical limitations, she carried on with a vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Her strong sense of independence was an inspiration to all who met her.
Most recently, she resided at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, where she was loved by all the residents and staff.
The proud author of three books, she will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor, her joke telling and her love of nature and animals.
Most of all, she enjoyed reading the Bible and her faith in God was steadfast.
Her survivors include daughter Megan M. Hersh and her husband, D.J. Butz, whom she loved as a son, of Allentown; extended family; and many friends.
A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. June 15 in Stephens Funeral Home Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown.
Friends and family may call 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Per her request, please do not wear black.
