DUI

A 39-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after “an investigative stop” of a pedestrian at the Wawa gas station and convenience store, 3321 Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 1:35 a.m. April 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities determined the male, who was described as “heavily intoxicated,” drove to the store.

Harassment

Someone allegedly threw food at two people during and after a movie because they were talking too loudly at the Movie Tavern multiplex, 6150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 9:25 p.m. May 17.

A 70-year-old female, of Alburtis, was cited for harassment after she allegedly struck another person with keys during an argument at a location on Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:45 p.m. May 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Retail theft

Three females allegedly removed multiple clothing items from retailer Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 9 p.m. May 24. Anyone with information on the incident may contact state police at 610-395-1438.

Drug possession

A 19-year-old male, of Laurys Station, was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana after a traffic stop near the intersection of Lower Macungie Road and Church Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 1:37 p.m. May 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from vehicle

A cellphone, valued at $600, was removed from a vehicle parked near the Coin Laundry laundromat, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 12:08 p.m. May 14 by the owner of the phone when he returned to the vehicle after walking his dog nearby, according to authorities.

Theft

A 20-year-old male, of Bethlehem who was an employee of retailer AutoZone, Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, allegedly fraudulently charged three AutoZone gift cards, each valued at $200, May 9 then used the gift cards May 10 at a different AutoZone location, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 15.

A shopper at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, reported the person behind her at a self-checkout terminal removed her $100 in change after she forgot to take it from the machine, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 7.

Fraud

A resident of Autumn Ridge Road, Lower Macungie Township, received a fraudulent letter pretending to be from Lehigh County requesting payment of $121.50 for a copy of a deed, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The resident paid the fee by check and later realized the letter was fraudulent. The check was canceled before it could be cashed. The incident was reported May 9.
