Peter D. Fuller

Peter D. Fuller, 74, of Willow Brook Farms, Catasauqua, died April 28, 2024. He was the husband of the late Joan (Benner) Fuller.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late CT and Alexandra (Huston) Fuller.

He attended Moravian Prep and graduated from the Choate School, Wallingford, Conn., in 1969 and Lehigh University in 1973 where he studied social sciences.

He helped his father run the family’s farm. He was an entrepreneur and was co-founder of Automotive Import Recycling with Randy Leggitt. He presided over Willow Brook Land Development Corporation, the golf course, Willow Brook Enterprises and Willow Brook Natural Horsemanship Center from 1989 to 2011.

In 1981, he created the Jere Knight Nature Trail for nature education as part of Cooks Creek Nature Center. He was active in The Cooks Creek Watershed Association. In 1993, he donated 64 acres to Heritage Conservancy to create the Fuller Preserve, which helped protect Cooks Creek.

In 1993, he moved his family to Emmaus to be closer to Willow Brook Farms.

He founded Alternative House for emotionally disturbed children, was active in county and state committees for juvenile justice, helped bring Communities in Schools for at-risk youth to the Lehigh Valley, was president of Second Mile in the Lehigh Valley and was president and co-founder of Embrace Your Dreams.

He and his wife attended Quaker meetings and studied spiritual awareness.

He was an athlete, competing in wrestling, quarter horse events, dirt bike racing, tennis and golf. He won numerous equine competitions and taught clinics at the farm.

He is survived by three children, Nicole, Zachary and Jeremiah; two sisters, Holly Fuller McLain, Victoria.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.

Contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice, preferably those who serve the less fortunate and children in need.
