James K. Eckert Jr., 74, of Whitehall, died June 7, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Linda L. (Gensenleiter) Eckert for 53 years.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late James K. Sr. and Dorothy (Mengel) Eckert.

He was a purchaser at Victaulic in Alburtis for 16 years before retiring. Earlier, he worked at the former Stroh’s Brewery, Fogelsville, for 30 years. In his youth, he was a newspaper carrier for The Morning Call for six years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason Jr. and wife Ashlie of Hawley; a daughter, Amie L.; a sister, Sally Arbolino of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Paige, Elijah, Kaitlin, Claire, Lainey, Renzo, Raya and Jase; and two great-grandchildren, Kye and Sadie.

Services are private.
