The St. Thomas More Parish Festival will be held 5-9:30 p.m. on the church grounds, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. The festival will include a bake sale, basket raffle, 50/50 raffle, face painting and a kids’ tent with games and prizes. June 14

Grace Lutheran Church, 28 W. Main St., Macungie, will host a free community meal 4-5:30 p.m. downstairs in the fellowship hall at the church. A takeout option also will be available. The menu will be hot dogs with sauerkraut, macaroni salad, baked beans and watermelon.

Wildlands Conservancy will host a bat count 8:30-9:30 p.m. at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, to collect data on the local bat population, particularly at the barn at the sanctuary, a popular roosting spot. Monitoring such locations gives biologists an idea of how bat populations are doing. Visit the website www.wildlandspa.org for information.

Salute to Old Glory noon at Allentown City Hall Plaza sponsored by the historic 117-year-old Allentown Flag Day Association. Flag raising event will be held rain or shine. Participants include the precision Allentown Police Department’s Honor Guard’s flag folding drill, keynote addresses by the Hon. Phillips Armstong, Lehigh County executive, Allentown’s Mayor Matt Tuerk and patriotic vocals by Joshua A. Fink. The public is invited. A receptacle will be available at the entrance to Allentown City Hall May 31 through June 15 to properly dispose of tattered flags.

Flag Day concert 7 p.m. by the Great Allentown Band in Allentown’s West Park, 16th and Turner streets with celebrated soprano soloist Evelyn Stewart. Address by retired Rear Admiral David P. Keller. Sponsored by the Allentown Flag Day Association. The concert is open to the public with a freewill donation to benefit the association’s mission.

Flag Day program at the Emmaus Community Park Arts Pavilion 6-7 p.m. sponsored by the Emmaus Rotary Club. East Penn area students in fifth and eighth grades will read their winning poetry and essays about “What the American Flag Means to Me.” Patriotic music will be provided by the St. Ann School choir under the direction of Ariel Scholz, Army veteran, Ret., 76th Army Band. The guest speaker for the program is Staff Sgt. Patrick J. Cubbage, U.S. Army, Vietnam. Cubbage was assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade, the most decorated unit in Vietnam. The Rev. Rebecca Mallozzi, pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church in Emmaus will offer the invocation and benediction. Emmaus Rotary Club President Sal Verrastro will preside and Emmaus Mayor Lee Ann Gilbert will present proclamations to the winning students. Refreshments will be served courtesy of the Vienna Lodge 847 International Order of Odd Fellows and Ai Orthodontics.

A Juneteenth music and children’s festival will be held noon to 7 p.m. at ArtsQuest, SteelStacks, Bethlehem.

Wildlands Conservancy and Lehigh Valley Health Network will host a free “Get Out For Wellness” walk 10 a.m. to noon at Graver Arboretum, 1581 Bushkill Center Road, Bath. This is an all-ages event and participants should wear comfortable walking shoes, bring insect repellent, sunscreen and a sun hat. The trails are well-maintained and fairly level, according to organizers. The “Get Out For Wellness” series is designed to encourage outdoor exercise and movement. June 16

The second annual Juneteenth Parade hosted by Juneteenth Lehigh Valley will be held 3 p.m. in center city Easton.

June 17-20

Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus, in partnership with the BARN Community, is conducting Vacation Bible School for children ages 3 through the fifth grade at Faith Church 6-8 p.m. each evening. Kids will have loads of fun with games, stories, music and fun crafts. This year’s theme is “Road Trip” - How we live as mission-minded children of God. June 19

A celebration of the National Negro Baseball League with the IronPigs is scheduled 7:05 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park, Allentown.

The Emmaus Historical Society annual member appreciation picnic at Emmaus Community Park, Moser Pavilion 5:30 p.m. Entrees and drinks are provided by the society. Members are asked to bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert. Nonmember guests are welcome and asked for a fixed contribution which pays for 2024 membership dues. June 20

The Friends of the 1803 House will host a fundraiser 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Stone Farm Cellars & Vineyard, 5831 Vera Cruz Road, Center Valley. There is a cost for tickets. Upper Milford Western District Fire Company will host its “Kauffman’s” chicken barbecue takeout event 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out. Dinner includes half a chicken, baked potato, applesauce and dinner roll and will be available for pickup at the rear of the firehouse, 6341 Chestnut St., Zionsville. There is a charge for tickets. Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society quarterly meeting will be held 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. The program is “The Moving Traditions of the PA Germans.” Larry Roeder, editor of the Town and Country will present the program. Hear about the PA German traditions, superstitions and how they moved out of their home and into a new one. The program is free and all are welcome. MOPAR MADNESS of the Lehigh Valley will host a cruise night 5-8 p.m. in Emmaus Community Park, 1375 Shimerville Road, Emmaus. All makes and models of vehicles are welcome. July 8-14

St. John’s UCC, 139 N. Fourth St., Emmaus, invites anyone ages 4-14 to enjoy an exciting summer Vacation Bible School 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. “What A Mess!” will teach kiddos how Jesus deals with life’s messes while making a mess! VBS participants will make a special presentation at the 9:15 a.m. church service July 14.
