BETHLEHEM AREA SD

BOARD MEETINGS: The Special Board Meeting (Final Budget Adoption) and Board Finance and Human Resources Committee Meetings will be held in the Edgeboro Room at the Education Center June 17 at 6 p.m. The meetings will be live-streamed for public viewing on the district’s YouTube channel. A member of the public must appear in person if they wish to address the School Board during the public comment portion of these meetings.

BASD MARKETING MUSIKFEST STUDENTS ANNOUNCEMENT: Marketing Musikfest students from both Freedom and Liberty high schools held a press conference at ArtsQuest to announce their selected bands that will perform at Musikfest 2024. The seven bands, including the winner of F.A.M.E. (Freedom’s Amazing Musicians and Entertainers), will perform at Plaza Tropical Saturday, Aug. 3 from noon to 6:30 p.m. Artsquest is proud to partner with the BASD on this unique, hands-on educational experience that allows students to apply the marketing and business skills they learn in class to a real-life setting at Musikfest.

FREEDOM HS STUDENT LVHN ATHLETE OF THE YEAR: Congratulations to Nathan Sletvold, who was Freedom HS’s top scorer in Basketball this season. He was named 2024 Legigh Valley Orthopedic Institute Athlete of the Year and has won a $10,000 scholarship. The other winner was Jocelyn Morgan of Easton.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE GIVEAWAY AT THOMAS JEFFERSON ES: Fruit and veggie giveaways will continue once monthly in summer. The June giveaway is today, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

ANIMAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown is seeking Barn volunteers for a Sunday morning shift from 8am to noon. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
