Congratulations to the Salisbury High School Class of 2024

Congratulations to the Salisbury High School Class of 2024! Graduation was one for the books and will hopefully be a cherished memory always. As you embark on whatever your next path looks like, I’d like to wish you happiness and success along the way. Best of luck on this crazy road called life.

We made it! The official last day of school for the school year will be June 10. June 7 will be an early dismissal for all students. Students at SHS and Salisbury Middle School will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and Salisbury Elementary School will follow 1:15 p.m.

On June 10, SHS and SMS will dismiss 10:30 a.m. and SES will follow 11:15 a.m. I hope everyone has a safe and happy summer!

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will hold a clothing drive 9 a.m. to noon June 8 at the entrance to the SHS auxiliary gym. Start purging those unwanted items now.

The SHS Class of 2026 will hold a craft and vendor fair/community yard sale 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 8, with a rain date of June 9 in the SHS student parking lot. There will be basket raffles and a basket sale as well. For more information or to rent a space, please contact Mrs. Saliby at LSaliby@salisburysd.org.

The township summer playground program will start June 17 and run through July 26. Locations include Devonshire, Green Acres, Lindberg and Laubach parks. Any township student who has completed kindergarten through age 12 is able to participate. Registration can be completed the first day at the park you will be attending. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Mondays through Friday and 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays.

St. Luke’s University Health Network will offer free sports physicals to SHS student athletes. You must register for an appointment and bring completed Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. forms to the event. The event will be held at Coca-Cola Park 2 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. June 25 and July 16 and 2 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. July 30. To sign up, use the QR code located on information sent by the district or email sportsphysicalinquiry@sluhn.org.

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, we understand some students rely on the schools for consistent meals. Should you or someone you know be in need of meal sites, there is a summer meal site finder. The easiest way to access this is to text “Summer Meals” to 914-342-7744 or to call 866-348-6479. Our school guidance counselors and social worker are also available to assist with these needs.

The township yard waste drop off sites are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The Devonshire site will be open June 6 and 8 and the Franko site will be open June 10, 13 and 15.
