Rita M. Smith, 81, of Coplay, died May 28, 2024, at home. She was the wife of the late Frank Marshall Smith for 55 years.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Mary (Stelzman) Herzog.

She was a 1961 graduate of Slatington High School.

She was a cashier at the former Laneco, retiring after 26 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Loriann Morelli and husband Cosimo; and a brother, Peter Herzog and wife Nancy.

She was predeceased by a sister, Audrey Morris.

Services will be announced at a later date.
