Marguerite E. (Platzer) Wirth, 87, of Whitehall, died May 28, 2024, at home. She was the wife of the late George A. Wirth Jr.

Born in West Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Paul P. and Elizabeth (Schubert) Platzer.

She retired in 1996 after a career in medical records and personnel at the former Allentown State Hospital.

In retirement, she was a volunteer for the Lehigh Valley Health Network Amputee Support Group.

She is survived by three sons, Paul and wife Linda Lapos of Allentown, George of Whitehall and John and wife Beata of Whitehall; six grandchildren, Adriane, Jennifer Rodriguez, Nicole McCowan, Mathew, Daniel and Marie Miller; 17 great-grandchildren, Andrew Kalmar, Sebastian Rodriguez, Cecilia Rodriguez, Gabriel, Aubrey, Hannah, Gunner, Lana Stufflet, Brayden Miller, Brody McCowan, Brooke McCowan, Callan McCowan, Delaney McCowan, Theresa Kleibscheidel, Jonathan Kleibscheidel, Jameson Kleibscheidel and Jack.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Kleibscheidel.
