Indianland Garden Club will meet 7 p.m. June 11 at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville. The speaker, Janet Vibbert, is a designer from Longwood Gardens. She will make four or five unique arrangements.

There is no charge to attend, but the arrangements will be raffled off.

Lehigh Township Historical Society will hold a barbecue-to-go meal, provided by Country View Meats, Danielsville, set for noon-3 p.m. June 15. Choose from roast chicken or pulled pork with baked potato and roll with butter. Choose two sides (applesauce, baked beans or creamed cabbage) and home-baked cake for dessert.

Orders must be placed by June 7. Pickup is at the Historical Centre, 3811 Lehigh Drive.

St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Drive, Berlinsville, will be holding a self-defense seminar 10 a.m.-noon June 29 with instructor Kyoshi Jeff Driscoll, an internationally known martial arts teacher with more than 30 years of experience.
