James Henry Firestone, 84, formerly of Catasauqua, died May 23, 2024, at Hilton Head Island, S.C. He was the husband of Marge (Schubert) Firestone.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John and Ellen Firestone.

He was a toolmaker at Western Electric, Allentown. He retired from AT&T as a supervisor in 1989 after more than 30 years. He then acquired his real estate license and worked part time at Valley Central Animal Hospital and Iron Lakes Country Club.

He was a youth baseball coach.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Ellen and Michael and wife Cristin; three grandchildren, Michael O’Boyle and Ella and Mckenna; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
