Donald R. Reiss, 90, of Macungie, died May 27, 2024, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He and his wife, Shirley A. (Zentner) Reiss, would have celebrated 67 years of marriage June 29. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Ralph N. and Minnie (Moyer) Reiss.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Emmaus.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War.

He was a custodian, working in the East Penn School District for 23-1/2 years until retiring. Previously he was a rubber molder for the former Rodale Manufacturing, Emmaus, for 23-1/2 years.

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan and enjoyed golfing with his coworkers.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Barry J. and his wife, Wendy, Jeffrey R. Sr. and his wife, Dana; sister, Jean Bednar; granddaughter, Monica Fife and her husband, Mark.
